Specsavers has welcomed its largest cohort of graduates to date: 173, who will work across Australia and New Zealand.
Of the 173, 116 attended Specsavers’ three-day graduate induction event at the Melbourne Cricket Ground at the end of February, while the other 57 graduates completed their induction in September last year. Of the total, 24 will be joining stores in New Zealand.
The graduate induction is the first event of a two-year graduate programme, giving Specsavers’ new optometrists the opportunity to meet each other and their support office colleagues, said Charles Hornor, Specsavers ANZ’s director of communications. “The graduate programme provides a structured, two-year development programme that provides our graduates with the clinical and commercial knowledge to grow their optometry skills and expertise. It offers a combination of professional events, courses and experiences designed specifically to enrich professional life.”
